Cho Lab Shines at the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center Retreat

The Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center (HCCC) held its annual retreat in June, and the Cho Lab was well represented. Five lab members presented posters showcasing their latest research, contributing to a lively and productive event.

We're thrilled to announce that lab member Gillian Ofori-Ntiamoah was selected as one of the best poster presenters at the retreat. An outstanding achievement given that hundreds of posters were presented and only five awards were given.

As part of this honor, Gillian will present her work at the HCCC Research Seminar in August and has been awarded travel funding to present her research at a national conference.

This recognition reflects not only Gillian's hard work and talent, but also the strength and quality of research coming out of the Cho Lab.

Congratulations, Gillian — we're so proud of you!

We’re excited to welcome two outstanding summer students to the lab this year!  Please join us in welcoming Erika Barnes and Alexis Katz!

Erika has been accepted into the Biomedical Science Summer Undergraduate Research Program (BSSURP) and will be working on a project investigating the role of NK cell dysfunction in melanoma progression. Alexis has been accepted into the Summer Undergraduate MSTP Research Program (SUMR) and will be investigating the role of T cell exclusion in melanoma.

Congratulations to both Erika and Alexis for being accepted into these competitive and prestigious programs!

We are thrilled to have them on board this summer and look forward to the exciting research they will contribute to the lab.
